An audio house identity that reverberates with the science of sound.

OSO is a Toronto-based Post Audio and Music Studio that needed a new visual identity - one that would exude certainty, playfulness and ebb & flow with every project the talented OSO team touched.

We composed a new brand identity with consideration for every beat. Intention, meaning and story informed each element.

A geometric logo constructed of circular forms is capable of rotating, flipping and moving to any rhythm without losing legibility.

A monochromatic colour palette cuts through visual noise. Bold ‘Recording Red’ adds a pop of colour that pays homage to ‘ON AIR’ broadcasting signs.

The certainty of the palette is contrasted with the fluidity of wavelength elements - animated as though in constant motion. Inspired by invisible sound waves, these smooth, dynamic and satisfying lines add dimension to the brand. They also can adapt to any soundtrack OSO creates - animated as to feel bespoke to each unique piece of music.

The OSO identity is in constant motion. Low frequency elements radiate with the team’s creativity and organic fluidity, while high frequency elements feel solidified, trustworthy and strong. A study in contrast that is once iconic and modern.
